First of all, I just wanna say it’s 2023 now and we are pro-sex workers and advocate for safe working environments and experiences. There were some problematic comments, to be anticipated in a book published in 2008 but I think overall it was both respectful and commenting.
I’m still not sure how to rate this. If it was supposed to be taken seriously/just plainly as it was written, well then it was bad. BUT I definitely read it as a bash to how fucking disgusting men are and how even when a woman is in control, some asshole dude is always going to end up on top and in the way. It was hilarious, disgusting, and a quick read. I look forward to discussing it in book club and lol-ing as a group at all the chaotic kindle notes I took.
