This book is suitable for young teenagers and preteens, however older readers may grow tired as the story stretches on and seems to pass suitable ending points several times. The book has a good premise but would have done better as a trilogy or short series to explore as many themes as the author hoped. Overall the book seems underdeveloped as it brings up good themes and unique ideas but would benefit from polishing.
