The Wall by John Lanchester

4.0

It has been a while since I read a dystopian novel and whilst this is not my favourite it was a pleasurable read. The early part of the book drew me in quickly due to the way the narrator was pretty much a mystery. This evolved throughout the book and my feelings towards him waxed and waned. I genuinely gasped at a couple of moments, but maybe the pace could have been elongated somewhat. Or maybe I just read it very quickly!
