4 out of 5 (I enjoyed it a lot)

I liked this story the best out of all three Glimmer Falls books. Both the MMC and FMC are more interesting to me than the main characters of the prior series. Ben is an anxious, thoughtful, and sensitive werewolf. He's passionate about the things he loves and cares for his family. And he knits! Eleanora is also very exciting. Half succubus and half vampire is a sexy combo. I did feel like her ideas on psychology and mental health felt a little unrealistically modern for being 600 years old. But I did love her crazy wackiness juxtaposed against her vulnerable sides. I love that the characters' respective beings don't define who they are--their humanity and personality are what shines in the story.

The plot itself was a little clunky. I did not care for the side plot with the election with Ben's sister. But I was very invested in the main plot with breaking Eleanora's curse and her journey in healing from abuse. That story was very well done. And even though there was
a third act breakup
, I thought it was very well done, and
the reconciliation was super cute.
Overall a fun, spicy read.
