Her Smoke Rose Up Forever by James Tiptree Jr.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Well, I gave it a go (got about halfway through). There's no doubt Tiptree/Sheldon is an accomplished author. The stories are intricate and well thought out, but sometimes the writing itself is vague and hard to follow. Women play central roles in every story, but there is still excessive misogyny and sexual violence. I'm glad I know about this author, but I've read enough.
