Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

5.0

RAAAAAAHHHHHH.
I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK.

My two best friends are coming over tomorrow, and even though neither of them are readers, this is one of those novels that I am just going to have to get them on to.

Dolly Alderton somehow cut right to the middle of my brain, took a look at my mess of thoughts and described each of them back to me in perfect anatomical detail. This book is a walk in the park. It's a breath of fresh, validating air. It's adventure and growing up and learning. It's FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS. This book is one of the best that I've read that focuses on female friendships and I loved it for that.

There were entire pages of Alderton's memoir that I underlined and circled and drew all over. It felt like every sentence needed a tick next to it. A little checkmark to agree or to commend the author for how much I related to her sentiments and words.

This book just feels like such an ode to the girls, even though that's not entirely what it is about.

I just loved this book so very much. A very motivating read to start the year off with.
