Considering the premise, this book had so much potential and yet it falls so, so short. For too much of the book I'm left wondering whether I even still ship Anne and Gilbert, because they have so few meaningful interactions in this book despite being in their literal honeymoon period. I do like the new characters we meet, but I still really, really miss the original gang.
