Frankenstein: The 1818 Text by Mary Shelley
The story is so famous I cannot remember not knowing it. Maybe this lead me to have unfounded expectations?
Whatever the reason, I am sad to say I really disliked this book. I will give it time and see what I remember of it, but at the moment I'm unimpressed.
Victor is cowardly, irresponsible, and annoying. The creation is incredibly intelligent and misunderstood. Everybody else was one dimensional.
Mary's life, I find, is much more interesting and eventful than this depressing book.
