Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

I chose to listen to this as an audiobook and I feel that added so much more to the book. This book at its core a love letter to Michell’s mother. Everything she came to realize, appreciate, hold on to and more when it came to her mother. It’s all the things she wished she had said, learned, appreciated, and grasped when her mother was still alive.

Overall, I thought this was a beautiful tribute to her mom. The book style itself seemed to be therapeutic for her and as if she was writing it for herself as a way to process her grief and feelings over the loss of her mother vs. a story to share with an audience.
