Iku learns to work in the Reservations room, securing books from other branches and finding titles in the Stacks to send to other branches. The Interim Head librarian acts suspicious with Iku's roommate, Asako, asking for specific titles and then squirreling them away in his office. Iku’s squadmate, Tezuka, asks her out even though he has continuously made her feel like he hates her, but this makes Iku confirm her feelings for Dojo. The MBC conducts a raid on the Library, seeking to take out titles they disapprove of. It's Iku's first MBC raid while she's is on duty, she and Asako figured out that the MBC was going after all the books in the head librarian's office.

A lot going on this story, which I appreciate. The supporting cast is starting to flesh out more and become unique people. Asako is a great character and good foil for Iku. She’s confident, beautiful, and good at her job. Iku can be good but has some deficiencies, namely in target practice and keeping her temper under control. I still can't figure out Tezuka, mainly whether or not he is an absolute jerk or just trying to figure things out. There is some slight satisfaction in this novel in Iku confirming to herself that she has feelings for Dojo, but as this is only volume two, I'm sure this will draw out as long as possible.

VIZ's rating of Teen plus is still not evident in this volume. The battle with the MBC is not super violent or bloody.
