Trouble is a loose beauty and the beast retelling with your cold alpha MMC and the endearing FMC. He’s grown up largely isolated.  Now, as an adult there’s no surprise that Spencer is a surly hermit who sells high end antiques for a living. Everything is going wrong for Joselyn. Just as she’s trying to convince her cousin that her boyfriend is a good guy and is about to propose she walks in on him and his secretary. In their apartment. And the secretary is wearing HER shoes. Ugh.

Trouble is perhaps the best Beauty and the Beast retelling I’ve ever read. Spencer has a lot of heart under his cold exterior and Joselyn is a strong confident(and a little witchy) leading lady. While this story would’ve been completely satisfactory at that, it wouldn’t be a Tia Louise story without a dangerous stalker/murder subplot-perhaps my favorite part of her writing.. The friendships were so rich in this book. I love the community that Joselyn has-her friend and son, and her cousin, Daisy.
