⭐️4.25⭐️ - ARC review!
I’m going to be honest - I had incredibly high expectations after reading all of Magnolia Parks/Daisy Haites. But after the Never debacle… I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with Conditions of Will.
I’m incredibly thrilled to report that from the very first chapter of this book, I absolutely loved it. While my heart still belongs to Julian, Sam Penny is next highest on this list.
Georgia. My heart absolutely broke. The truth was devastating, and I genuinely felt sick. Also, honorable mention for the research that went into Georgias character. I think it was incredibly well done and gave me to the same feel as Magnolia with her clothes, and Daisy with artwork.
Maryanne. I’ve never hated a character more in my entire reading career - burn in all 7 hells, thank you very much (SO well written though)
I can’t even put into words how sucked into this book I was. I’ll definitely be re reading, and buying a copy for my trophy shelf.
The ending. I cried. Full stop.
The reason I knocked off .75 stars (because this would have been a 5 star read) was that I guessed the major plot within the first few chapters (I like to be an oblivious reader and be by blown away with reveals, but this one didn’t do it for me).
Thank you Jessa, let’s add that to my therapy bill I’ll be sending you.
Triggers: addiction, sexual assault, family trauma, death, homophobia.
