I have found that I don’t enjoy historical fiction. I find them often very sad and depressing. I don’t think this was a bad book by any means. I think Kristin Hannah is very talented and I like her writing style. Her world building and imagery is well done. This was the second book by her that I read. I just don’t think historical fiction is for me.
