The Future Is Disabled: Prophecies, Love Notes and Mourning Songs by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha

emotional hopeful informative inspiring slow-paced

4.75

It took me just under a year to fully absorb this book—to let myself relax into its love and wisdom. The process of reading it has reminded me of the ways that slow is beautiful; that I can honor my multiple-book-reading processes; that I intentionally return to projects and books and community with love. That I can move forward with my intentions and processes in a way that makes space for my anxious brain and neurodivergence.

So much to learn and love here. Very much a sacred text. Read it to expand the ways you dream, the ways you consider access and intimacy, the ways you radically imagine.
