Mirabelle Gets up to Mischief by Harriet Muncaster

5.0

Taking my little sister’s (9 years old and 7 years old) on their first trip to Waterstones, the younger of the two wanted a ‘dragon book’… and so came home our first adventure into the world of Isadora Moon - through her witch-fairy cousin, Mirabelle!

The sentence structure is short enough that younger readers were able to enjoy it, too with illustrations on every page and the occasional full page art- keeping children interested in the book the whole way through the story!

Mirabelle gets up to Mischief is a great introduction to Mirabelle and her family, whilst also teaching lessons on secrets, mischief and behaviour (or… mischief!) however in the end, family is always there for one another.

We read this in one sitting! A blessing in the current world of games consoles and online videos… at the end of each chapter I was getting eagerly asked to keep going and not to stop; we need to know what happens to Mirabelle and Violet!

Looking forward to more adventures from the world of Isadora Moon!
