probably my least favorite john krakauer book i read this year, but his other two were full 5 star reads. he is a great writer, and his style is a very unique blend of personal account and journalistic detachment. he described a really interesting event/person in a compelling way, but it was hard to get to the end knowing how it was going. still engaging, but not my favorite work of his
