The Borrow a Bookshop Holiday by Kiley Dunbar
4.0
The premise of this book is what grabbed me—taking a vacation where you get to run a bookshop and cafe in a seaside English village, with the bonus of an unexpected romance? Sign me up! The villagers were a bunch of characters, and I liked seeing Jude come into her own as the novel progressed. I feel like the romance wasn’t as believable as I was hoping, as they didn’t really get much of a chance to get to know one another, but I still enjoyed it. The reveal in the afterword that there’s a Scottish bookstore that offers this kind of a holiday was a fun bonus, adding it to my post-pandemic travel wish list!
