Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener

4.0

A very interesting read - it asks a lot of questions, and is not overly emotional, leaving the reader to really ponder on the actions in the book.
Set during WWII, it contains a lot of historical fact and fiction, and creates valid viewpoints of war, leadership, religion, friendships, romances, sex, racism, politics, emotional and physical limits - the list goes on.
Not exactly uplifting, but sometimes we need a book like that.
