I loved the Avelyne Jones series and I'm so glad that we get to find out about aunt Lilian's childhood. Shadowhall Academy is very atmospheric and there's lots of spooky mystery.
I really enjoyed this start to the new series, though I did feel it was not as polished as the previous series. There were a few things that didn't quite make sense to me, but I am still very much looking forward to the next book.
