A New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie. This short story collection has only deepened my enjoyment of that film. The book takes you on a great journey through A New Hope from the point of view of so many diverse characters from across the saga. Not only are there many different characters featured, but different writing styles as well. This helps to keep the reading experience interesting and never monotonous. With 40 stories there were bound to be a few clunkers (and there were), but most of the stories were incredible. I don’t want to get too specific with some of the stories and characters featured, but I will mention the most surprising tale: R5-D4, the droid with the bad motivator. Arguably the most emotional story told in the book.

I was blown away by From a Certain Point of View, and I hope this is the first in a series of canon short story collections based around the Star Wars films.
