Treasure Hunters
by Chris Grabenstein, James Patterson
The first of four in my son's favorite series, this is the book that took him from "readers" at school to being a book worm -- finishing a 400+ page book in a week. He had read it several times, loved it and wanted to share with me. I understand why.
It is a fast paced spy/thriller novel -- four kids of dual CIA agents pick up the trail where their parents left off with their untimely disappearance. The book grabs your attention, moves quickly, has good illustrations, and expands a youth's vocabulary.
I loved it, and not only will I read the next in the series, I plan to read more of Patterson's adult books as well. We read together as a family, we talk together as a family that is how you grow book worms. Thank you for this great not-quite-tween YA book!
