I don't read a lot of business-romance or rich-people-romance, because the whole capitalistic exploitative environment mostly makes me angry and resentful. So I've hesitated to pick up these books and check them out, even if I've enjoyed other books by this author. Some of them are faves, actually. Now, I finally got too curious and picked up the first books, and it was definitely worth it. The business world was just as annoying as expected, but the writing and the characters helped a lot, so it didn't bug me too much. Also, I liked how it was all described very realistically (as far as I know, I'm more used to working in health care, and having 37 hour work weeks with flexible hours and 5 weeks paid leave a year, paid sick leave when needed, and all that, hah). Anyway, I liked the characters and their love story, and it was hot and sweet. The kink was well negotiated and the hot times were well written and steamy. DS kink can be a hit or miss with me, but this was hot. All in all, I'm very glad I overcame my hesitance and read this.
