We follow the story of Mara and Cole. Two artists in San Francisco. Cole has a rivalry with another artists named Alastor Shaw. Shaw notices Cole's slight interest in Mara and decides to deliver her to Cole as a gift. However, Cole did not accept and Mara, through sheer stubbornness, survives her bloody evening with Shaw. From there, Cole finds her and they create a toxic mentorship/relationship with one another.
In the world of murder, artistry, and revenge, Cole and Mara choose each other.
I enjoyed the story! Very very interesting and I can't wait for it to develop more in the next book.
