Definitely on par with the previous books in my opinion. It had the right amount of clues and misdirection that I would want. I did find that the 'who' was easier to determine in this book (maybe I just had more of a sneaking suspicion) but the 'why' was a little more clouded until all is revealed.
I did find some of the events a little too bombastic (pun intended).
Moderate: Gore
Minor: Incest and Suicide
