“I held my sword like a lover. A sword had been my first love. And as far as I was concerned, it would be my last.”
I really love the world and characters that Ektaa created for this series. I was immediately pulled to drake in the first book and I continued to be under his spell in this one. It’s darker than the first, but also more action packed.
The one thing that held me back a bit was the lack of explanation as to what her “Priestess” title really meant, it was explained a bit more near the end but I would have liked to know more!
As someone who has read some of Ektaa’s other books, the nod to Chrysalis and Morktalis was really exciting, I’d love to see a cross over!
Overall, great second book in the series, highly recommend!
