This wasn’t my favorite of the series but I still loved it! I feel like I’m left wanting more from the end and that there were a few plot points that didn’t get answered (one I'm not sure I want answered) but overall I’m satisfied with this book. Naturally, Millie gets in her own way but this time she has great reason to. Her new neighbors all all nuts, one neighbor’s maid is strange and elusive, and her loving husband Enzo seems to be having an affair, or is he? The plot twist I did not see coming which I should expect from McFadden at this point but I still love it! Every time I think I have it figured out she throws in a wrench and I’m totally wrong but not wildly off base. I love seeing Millie as a mom getting her dream, even though it quickly becomes a nightmare. My hope is, after this book which I know is the end but I can pretend it’s not, she lives her life communicating better and trusting her gut more. And that she learns her husband’s native tongue! I loved that a surprise familiar face from the first book comes to help the family in their darkest moment too! Anyway, all around good book and nearly perfect satisfying finish to the Housemaid series.
