i love stella so so so much gotta love another math lover
i loved the representation of her every day struggles, intrusive thoughts and insecurities. autism is never the same, every person is different and i adored learning and reading about stella’s story.
i absolutely loved the conversation she had with herself about accepting who she was, that the disorder didn’t make her the person that she was, just made her different, i love that she took this big and important step all by herself without needing, for example, michael’s help or validation.
the ice cream scene >>> really caught me off guard i was like “OOOH OKAYYYY”
and don’t let the cartoon cover fool you because it was very steamy.
i loved how michael was always so gentle and understanding, even when he didn’t know she was autistic, he cared so much for his family and did his best. i wish i could give him a hug. to both of them tbh
the only thing that bugged me was the third person narrative, maybe it’s because i’m more used to first person, i’ve been reading a lot of those recently but i was so confused at times. like was she talking about stella or other person? were we in michael’s or stella’s pov? this is totally a preference but if it had been in first person and dual pov MUAH *chefs kiss*
