This book really fell flat for me. I’ve seen this author gets lots of love and I decided to give her a shot when I saw this book was described as having Gilmore Girl -esque vibes mixed with a Schitt’s Creek feel. I think the author really tried to give the readers that experience but it just didn’t hit for me. The writing felt very disingenuous and inauthentic like the author was really trying to make a book like that but was ultimately trying too hard. But maybe it just wasn’t for me!
