The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper by Hallie Rubenhold

Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
Like a couple of minutes in I realized that anything historical and British is something I don’t vibe with. Even if it’s not about colonialism it’ll reek of colonialism and always fail to address that part of its history. This book will probably address the struggles of the (white) women and working class in Britain… and I refuse to listen to a book that does so without acknowledging that POC especially WOC had it so much worse. Intersectionalism key but I don’t think I’ll find it here.

Idk she might actually do a good job but I’m not sticking around to see it.
