The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
3.5
First off, I flew through this one. It’s fast-paced with short chapters, which is basically my favorite combo when I’m in the mood for a twisty read. I was hooked from the first page and stayed intrigued the entire time.
That said… it almost felt too busy in parts. So much was happening that it got a little chaotic, and then the ending wrapped up kind of quickly. I wouldn’t say it was a bad ending, just a little underwhelming compared to the ride it took to get there.
Still, I really enjoyed the book and I’d absolutely recommend it if you love domestic thrillers with lots of twists and suspicious characters.
