My favorite book is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn so I've always wanted to read Betty Smith's other books. It's not quite as great as her most famous novel, but it has a lot of the same magic. Annie sometimes bothers me as a character because she's so naive - but that's also the main plot, is about how young she and her husband are when they rush into a marriage.

So, read A Tree Grows In Brooklyn first. And if you want to dig further into her work, then maybe read this one later.
