Lazarus, Vol. 1: Family by Greg Rucka

3.0

So it's Mad Max world-building mixed in with some Terminator Sci-Fi. There is so much setting of the story that things don't get going very fast. From what I could tell, the story is told from the point of the bad guys - one of the few powerful families in charge as Earth's resources have waned and the rich have gotten VERY rich. Lazarus or "Forever" as she is named is a mysteriously interesting character. Hopefully her promise is fulfilled. Lark is a perfect artist for Greg Rucka. Rucka, who is best with gritty detective stories - this one really isn't that - matches well with Lark's famously gritty and dark style.
