In the Country We Love: My Family Divided
by Diane Guerrero
As a latina this book really resonated with me. The language itself is written in a casual tone, but the heart of the book is what really got me (think big Cancer energy with the emotional pull). Diane has heart and I respect and admire her vulnerability. I’m excited to see what moves she makes advocating for immigrants and the latinx community at large.
