Tears of Silver Shadows: Secrets of the Thrundul by Magaidh Dunbroch, Magaidh Dunbroch

5.0

Selune is one of the last Titan Goddesses that rule the Faedoroth. One would think that living amongst other Gods and Goddesses would be full of laughter, happiness, and peace. Wrong, so very wrong. The God of Power is revolting and self-obsessed, taking anything and everyone he wants and doing with it/them as he pleases.
Selune, the Titan Goddess of the moons is not like the God of Power. She is peace, joy, and kindness wrapped into one. The God of Power, Lualdir is a fool, but an evil one who took the one thing Selune can never get back, which changes her life's path.
Gods are not supposed to interact with mortal people, especially in any type of relationship. Selune finds herself enchanted by a mortal named Gabriel, whom she shares her life stories and feelings with.
When the God of Power finds out, terrible things are done that can't be undone and Selune takes things into her own hands.
Will Selune be able to stop the evil that spreads within Faedoroth by Lualdir? What happens that changes her path and course of life direction?

My Review:

This is, in my opinion, a great fantasy love story filled with obstacles, enchantment, and a fight for power.
The author made a great decision when adding a disclaimer to the beginning of the book as not all scenes are "friendly."
Fantasy readers will be drawn in by Selune's strength and the depths she has to go to protect herself and those she loves. This was a book that when I got a few chapters in, had me so involved I did not want to put the book down.
I am really hoping that in the future, there will be another book that continues Selune's story to see how all plays out in the Faedoroth.
