The pacing felt really weird, and at times the writing felt a bit like fan fiction. The advertising, cover art, and quotes for the book make it seem like a fun and sexy read, but you spend most of the book reading about the MCs decent into a horribly abusive relationship. It didn't even feel like we learnt any important lessons (all of the red flags were glaring and obvious to the point that it's kind of ridiculous), which just made me feel like I was voyeuristicly watching a woman's life turn into a trainwreck. Also, while there is sex scenes, they are mostly not fun and at times verge on assault-y. It is a quick and easy read though.
