The Finish Line by Kate Stewart
3.0

As much as I loved these characters and this story, I feel like this book was one book too many. The writing was great and I had a good time reading it, it just felt a little unnecessary. Everything felt so complete in Exodus that this book didn't really add to the story. It ended up feeling like one big epilogue. I also really hated how Cecelia acted the entire time. She became very annoying when it came to forgiving Tobias for everything that happened. I get that she was hurt after the last book, but it had only been 8 months and she seemed to have given up on him very quickly for someone who had held a flame for him for 6 years. I just think that the whole book was her punishing him for doing things she certainly understood. It just felt like her character regressed from this bad ass grown woman she had been formed into back into a "pick me" punishing her boyfriend regardless of his obvious remorse. Again, I had fun reading this book; I loved the whole story, the way it was written, and the characters, it's just that this installment of the series felt unnecessary (especially the epilogue at the end - this author has a habit of extending the ending when it doesn't need to keep going).
