Its plot, characterised by unexpected twists and a deliberate sense of confusion, unfolds in a manipulative fashion that skillfully places the reader in the perspective of the antagonist throughout. While snippets of the victims' viewpoints are interwoven, the predominant narrative voice remains that of the antagonist, creating a uniquely psychopathic and somber tale.
The conclusion reveals a chilling revelation—almost all the main characters are painted in shades of villainy. The story, hypnotic and engaging, does suffer from a somewhat slow-paced narration, marked by unnecessary details and seemingly random bits of information that surface unexpectedly.
