I loved this whole guy reads romance and they meet in her book store!!!!
Ciaran is currently playing for the Knoxville Bears and AHL team with his one goal of getting in to the NHL. He is all about hockey and no distractions. Especially a relationship. He has been there, done that and has been burned by it.
Louisa(Lou) is the owner of a bookstore, Dirty Pages and the girl is just looking for a guy to satisfy her. She is also the granddaughter of the owner of the Knoxville Bears. After escaping a very bad upbringing/lifestyle, she has grown and is living her life the way she wants to, however, the recent hook ups she has have been duds… that’s until she shares an orange pomegranate muffin with Ciaran and these two find what they didn’t know they both needed in each other.
Ciaran and Lou were hot!!! They also balanced each other out. Ciaran was everything Lou was looking for in a man and Lou broke down those walls Ciaran built up. Their love for each other was fast but it was them. They were obsessed with each other!!!! I really enjoyed the no 3rd act break up. Considering her Peepaw would be involved again and it would be similar to that of Austen and Dimitri(if you haven’t read Heavy Shot you should read it ), I am glad he just wanted Lou to have love verses him reacting like he did with Austen and Dimitri.
This was such a great read and solid start to this new series. I am excited to see where Toni goes with the other characters.
