Jumping in a few days after [b:The Glamour Thieves|34998187|The Glamour Thieves (Blue Unicorn, #1)|Don Allmon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1494014271l/34998187._SY75_.jpg|56274706] ends, this ramps up quickly and once things get going, it hardly ever stops for a breath.

Overall, this story is too complicated for a coherent synopsis. Just know that crazy good hacker Buzz (a friend from the past who featured in the first book) quickly realizes that everyone is in danger who knows of the Blue Unicorn (an elven AI with the capability to actually impart glamour). When he tries to warn JT and Austin, Buzz gets caught by Comet (a current cyborg buddy of JT’s) who thinks Buzz is responsible for their disappearance. These two clash immediately, and grudgingly out of necessity, pair up to find their friends.

Unlike the first book, this is in line with a more traditional romance but one that’s on warp speed. There’s a meet and terrible greet with a rapid descent into lust within hours, as extreme situations call for a do or die mentally which also applies to falling in love as well.

So, ensue many a wild action packed chase as an evil wizard is after all who know about the Blue Unicorn, employing a relentless assassin who just doesn't know when to quit. Continuing with a raucous cyberpunk theme, peppered with paranormal elements, magic and advanced technology, as well druids, ghouls, and mages who turn into fire breathing dragons just to make it a bit more interesting.

Again, fast paced and explicitly explicit, this delivers on all the excitement one could want from such a genre. In order to save a remnant of their past, this ragtag group is ready to do whatever’s needed, and I look forward to them facing dire impossible odds in order to finally set the wondrous Blue Unicorn free.
