Rereading this one and still loving it. An easy sell for me because I think Shaun Tan's artwork is amazing and I love animals, nature and fantasy/whimsical things.

It's a beautiful collection of short stories and vignettes held together by the idea that humans are restored by nature but don't always take care of it. I'm lucky enough to have been given the limited edition as a gift and every inch of it speaks to me!

I was inspired to reread after thinking about my c t is the greatest cat in the world and remembering that story, which is one of my favourites but the story about the moon fish is also very special
