This book is good. I really liked it.
It’s a hard one to rate for me because the writing and prose is beautiful and gentle and heartbreaking. The depiction of grief and how it shapes our memories is so real and relatable.
Being in the head of someone as they are struggling and detailing the mundanity of it all, triggers my own anxieties and frustrates me….it is definitely a me thing.
I think a lot of people would like this one (as they should) so I strongly recommend giving it a go.
With thanks to Ultimo Press for a copy of the book.
