One Last Shot by Betty Cayouette is a perfect summer romance story. It's easygoing, but at the same time, it has a deep layer.
Emerson and Theo met as teenagers and were inseparable. Emerson at 28 is a supermodel, and Theo is a photographer, but they are not together anymore. Emerson wants to change that and decides to rekindle their relationship.
The story of One Last Shot is straightforward, but what sets it apart are its characters. The author has done an amazing job of portraying realistic characters, especially Theo. For readers who like second chance romance, friends turned lovers, this one is perfect.
