I originally started this book because I needed a Q for my reading challenge. This didn’t disappoint. We’re kind of thrust into our FMC on the run because monsters and scent her blood. We’re seeing the magical aspect of the world around her grow as she learns so we’re slowly being let in. I’m hoping we learn a little more in-depth. It kind of sounds like the author has taken twists on different mythologies and putting her own spin on it. For instance, it feels like there are different races of vampires and they have their own names. Plus, they all shift and there’s the thing with “coming into” their powers once they find their queen. I’m definitely interested but slowly kind of lost too.
