The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism
by Naomi Klein
Exceptionally research and engaging from start to finish I loved this book. I was in so deep I found myself following up on some of the papers in the refernce section out of pure interest. Deeply infomative while remianing accesssible, I appreacited how cases were drawn globallly allowing a worldwide impact to be demonstrated. Although I appreciate the scope, I found myself drawn into further reading alongside this book which made me take much longer than usual to get through it (not that I'm complaining). I would love to see an updated version as we have been living an an area of intense shock in recent years, however, in the mean time I look foward to reading more of Klein's work.
