This is my first venture into Sci-Fi genre and I will admit I was a little skeptical as to what I was getting myself into; well color me surprised. This book was amazing.
The reason it fell short of being perfect is because of all the informaotion that was dumped on me in the first book. While this book doesn’t suffer from First Book Syndrome it was a lot of info to take in.
Kitty is a kick-ass heroine and the first time that we meet her she is willing to risk her life for a stranger by staring danger in the face. She is immediately tossed in a world that she never knew existed. Secrets are revealed as we are about to witness a battle between “good” and “evil”
What made this a great read for me was the introduction of Jeff. He adds the perfect balance of comedic genius into this story. His witty comebacks and his sexyness as well the danger that seems to pour off of his body. The additional characters are the perfect balance in this story. Kitty’s parent’s bring this story to life because who wouldn’t want kick-ass parents.
The world building was fantastic and the twist and turns in this story was great. I didn’t see them coming and when everything was wrapped up beautifully.
Ms. Koch did a fantastic job of adding the romantic aspect into this story. The scenes we hot and I was fanning myself through most of them. I am excited to see where this story will continue and how the new discoveries will play out.
