Absolute 5 Stars.
I don't want to compare it to the other MM British-American politically charged book (you know the one, don't be coy), but I thought, "Oh - this is going to be that all over again."
T'was not. I mean, maybe it was in the sense that it's MM. There's a British theme. There's banter. It's a laugh riot because of the banter... Then yeah, sure, it was that all over again. For me, that's how the similarities ended.
I appreciated that it was a well written opposites attract! The side characters? Peak. The romance? Precious. I did appreciate that it is fade to black for this story because I don't think the intricacies of Luc and Oliver's intimate moments, further than what we were given, would have added to the story, IMO.
But I leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the book...
"I was pretty sure this was how love felt: fuzzy and scary and confusing and light enough to whisk you away like a Tesco's bag in the wind." 🥹🤣🖤
