This Is Your Brain on Birth Control: How the Pill Changes Everything
by Sarah E. Hill
As a start: I understand that this book is a very limited world view. Although it recognizes that not all women have uteruses or are able/want to get pregnant, it takes a very biological approach throughout the book. It’s also a privilege to have access to birth control pills or other forms of contraception and healthcare in general.
But as someone who has been on the pill for almost 10 years, a lot of this resonated with me personally. I learned so much about my body and my brain that I’d never been told before by any doctor. And I’m glad someone is studying and writing about it.
The main takeaway though: the world is very unfair to women and men should be in charge of contraception.
