I have so many feels for this book! I love how perfectly imperfect the characters are, especially Francesca. I struggled with her personality at times and the way she'd react to things but at the same time I completely understand why she is the way she is.

I can't believe I've never read a Melina Marchetta book before! Stupid me haha.

Tara is probably my favorite character in the book, besides Mia of course. But to be honest, I love all the characters so much I'm already feeling kind of down at the thought of them not being real.

1st reread: May 1st-May 3rd,2019-I can't believe I forgot how unbelievably depressing this book was. I legit cried reading this book pretty much the entire time. I love how beautiful Melina's writing is, she will always be a favorite writer for me because of it. And I love this gang so much, though on this reread I'm kinda not as in love with Will as I was the first time. Why tf is this dude legit still dating his girlfriend while kissing Francesca? I don't like that at all. Also just when they get together, he's leaving to go away for college? It makes reading The Piper's Son so much more interesting because now I can see all the changes from the first book to the second and see how much all of the characters have grown since high school.
