it’s almost impossible to read a 900 page book and not feel slightly attached to the characters (especially if you read it over a few months lol) - shannon and johnny feel like people i know irl, i love them so much. so the events that take place in this book were so traumatizing, i was literally scared to read :l
i liked this book slighly more than the first one, my biggest problem with the first book was how repetitive it was and i think this one was less repetitive. and i loved how we got to know the side characters more.
i heard book 3 & 4 are even more heartbreaking so i’ll be taking a break and go for some happier reads i guess… so i can mentally prepare myself? :’)
