Ok Scottie and Wilder were precious. This had all the best tropes, and I felt so connected with Scottie and the healing that she was doing.
This made me want to go to summer camp so bad!! I got low-key Deja vu from when my husband and I did pre-martial counseling. That stuff works!! Go to therapy!!
The fake arguments were SO entertaining. Sometimes my husband and I fake fight just for fun and this felt so similar. Meghan Quinn knows how to write romantic comedy, and while not every book lands, this one did for me. I would absolutely recommend.
One of my only critiques is that I don’t think Wilder was quite developed enough. While we did get into some of his trauma, and he had an obstacle to overcome, I felt like there was a little bit of a disconnect in his personality sometimes. Or maybe that’s just me thinking he’s way too golden retriever to be real. Loved him anyway!
Please buddy read this with your spouse and report back if it helps your marriage. 🫶🏼
